Paula Deen's "The Lady and Sons"

One of the main reasons we wanted to return to Savannah was to visit The Lady and Sons, Paula Deen's restaurant. I had gotten hooked on Food Network earlier this year and came across an interesting southern lady named Paula Deen. She had a cooking show that was a hoot. She was funny and one-of-a-kind! I tried her "It Ain't Your Mama's Banana Puddin'" recipe, among others, and every one was delicious and wonderful! We parked the car and walked across to the restaurant. There were dozens of people milling around on every corner and across the street. A long line waited at the hostess station outside. We knew we'd never get reservations and we were leaving early the next morning. We, or I should say I, was disappointed.
